Cadillac CTS Models Honored at Chicago Auto Show

CHICAGO – MotorWeek named the Cadillac CTS Coupe a 2012 Drivers’ Choice Award for the Best Sport Coupe, and Autobytel named the CTS Wagon the 2012 Wagon of the Year at the Chicago Auto Show.

Motor Week, which airs weekly on PBS, awarded the CTS Coupe from a list of more than 150 cars across 14 lifestyle categories, which were reviewed by a team of 15 judges from MotorWeek’s editorial staff. Decisions were based on performance, technology, practicality, fuel efficiency and dollar value.

“The CTS Coupe outshines its competition when it comes to style comfort and performance,” MotorWeek Host John Davis said.

Autobytel, the online consumer automotive research website, presented the 2012 Wagon of the Year to the CTS Sport Wagon. Top criteria cited for the award included the CTS wagon’s aggressive styling, touch-screen navigation system, optional all-wheel-drive and enhanced ride-and-performance options.

“The utilitarian Cadillac CTS sport wagon is a luxurious solution to versatility,” said Michelle Naranjo, Autobytel editor in chief.

Don Butler, vice president of Cadillac Marketing, said the awards and recognition for the CTS family of cars have continued steadily since its launch in 2008. During that time, Car and Driver, Automobile, AutoWeek, Edmunds.com and more have rated the CTS cars among their editor’s top choices.

“We’re more than pleased to see the automotive press continue to respond positively to the CTS family of cars. It reflects Cadillac’s commitment to distinctive designs and our world-class performance,” Butler said.

The MotorWeek Drivers’ winners will be featured in a special episode of MotorWeek airing on PBS on Saturday (Feb. 11.).
