The Vauxhall MasterFit Winter Service will make sure the owner’s Vauxhall is ready for the winter weather and it includes a free set of AutoSock Snow Socks, which are far less bulky and awkward than snow chains and are easier and faster to fit.

Worth at least £49.95, the AutoSock Snow Socks simply slip over the driving wheels of a vehicle, helping motorists in snowy and icy conditions by creating friction.

The Winter Service fits within the Vauxhall service schedule, which operates on a two-service cycle alternating between ‘interim’ and ‘major’. Vauxhall MasterFit Retailers offer Vauxhall owners complete peace of mind as their vehicle will be serviced by MasterFit trained technicians and only fit genuine Vauxhall parts.

Autosock Snow Socks are effective in freezing driving conditions but motorists are advised that their use is intended to be limited to vital journeys. Similarly, while they can be used at speeds of up to 30mph, drivers using them are advised to travel substantially slower than this.

While Autosock Snow Socks performance compares well with snow chains, in some countries the use of the latter is mandatory in snowy and icy conditions.
