A season’s worth of adrenalin-pumping motoring fun culminates this August with the VXR Power Festival at the legendary Silverstone racing circuit.
The two-day event will be an unashamed display of horsepower that is not only the ultimate event for racing fans but also a great day out for family and friends.
Throughout the festival there’ll be a series of exciting driving-related spectacles for people to enjoy, including a spectacular stunt from Paul Swift, pro-am races, 0-60mph challenges, karting events and quarter-mile races. Pay-and-play challenges will also be available to allow guests to experience the thrills of the festival and follow in the tyre marks of true racing heroes.
Stars of the British Touring Car Championship will be testing their mettle at the event, with drivers such as Fabrizio Giovanardi, James Thompson, John Cleland, Matt Neal and fifth Gear’s Jason Plato taking to the track.
If all that’s not enough to get you zooming down to Silverstone, the event will also play host to a number of celebrities including Saturday Kitchen’s James Martin, former Hollyoaks and Strictly Come Dancing star Ricky Whittle, and Eastenders actress Kara Tointon, all of whom will be getting involved in the motoring action.
Proceeds from tickets and pay-and-play events will be donated to Vauxhall’s nominated charity, Help for Heroes - a fantastic charity supporting the brave men and women of the British forces who have been wounded in the service of their country.
Tickets cost £10 in advance or £15 at the event. For ticket information please visit www.vxrpowerevents.co.uk
