The Vauxhall team is made up of thousands of people across the country, all working together to bring our innovative vehicles to you.
Around 35,000 people work with us in total, with 4,500 at our plants in Ellesmere Port and Luton, and at our warehouse and head office in Luton. On top of this, our newly opened Customer Contact Centre in Luton employs 300 people, while 120 people work at our OnStar headquarters. That leaves 23,000 people working in our retail network and 7,000 people in our UK supply chain, providing the millions of parts and essential services we offer every day.
Our Luton Plant produced an enormous 60,820 Vauxhall Vivaros in 2015. The latest Vivaro has won a load of awards with Trade Van, Business Van Manager and What Van?, with its most recent accomplishment being named as Trader’s choice at Trade Van Driver magazine’s annual awards.
The Luton plant celebrated further success as it achieved the Gold award in the prestigious 2016 RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards, an annual scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
Known as the ‘Home of the Astra’, our Ellesmere Port Plant has produced seven generations of Astras, with roughly 1,667 people working in the 1,209,366m2 site, building up to 148,854 Astras every year.
The latest generation of Astra was recently crowned 2016 European Car of the Year, a great achievement for everybody at the Ellesmere Port Plant.
